So You Think You Can Dance Season 8 Tour FINALLY!!

Saturday the girls and I left for St. Louis for So You Think You Can Dance. We stopped to drop Thomas off at Warren's and the kids posed for a photo with him.

Sydney helped Mia with straightening her hair and even let her wear one of her shirts. She even wore a little make-up....it was a special day!

Sydney right before we hit the road.

Amy, who danced at CDA with Sydney for years, went with us. We stopped first at Red Lobster and did some damage on the "Endless Shrimp" promotion they have going on.

We had a lovely dinner and did lots of laughing. Sydney and Amy hadn't seen each other in quite a while and did a lot of catching up, too.

These are three VERY excited girls. Our seats were 4 rows up from the floor. The only thing I didn't like, was that we were on the left side of the stage. The girls, however, said the seats were PERFECT.

I didn't take my 'real' camera in, as they don't allow professional cameras, and had little battery life left on my phone, but I managed to get a few pics. This is Melody and Marko. They were partnered at the beginning of the season, and did some amazing dances. Melody went on to win the title of "America's Favorite Dancer." She is a contemporary dancer from Georgia.

That's her in the red.

The top 10 dancers of the season were on the tour. We got to see a lot of our favorite dances from the season, and some new stuff, too. The show was so fun! The girls were yelling and cheering, and jumping up and down. During a couple of the dances, there were tears, too. For the final number, all 10 dancers did a really up-beat dance that got the crowd involved. Amy, Sydney and Mia were really getting into it, dancing and carrying on, so much so that Ricky, one of the male dancers, actually acknowledged them, pointed at them, smiled, etc., and they LOVED IT. I think that was one of their favorite parts of the whole night.

We didn't want to leave and wanted MORE DANCING! All in all it was a wonderful evening and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Their performance on Sunday would find them in Tulsa (Michelle Hodge!) and the girls tried to talk me into taking them to that show!

I'm so glad we had such a great time and that the girls and I have that memory to share.
