I took these first few shots at our last home football game. I can't say I'm sad that it's over, as much as I love watching these girls, but it is getting much cooler and too cold to sit in a stadium without being bundled up and wrapped in blankets. We have basketball cheerleading to look forward to, which starts November 1.

Our neighbors have some of the most beautiful mums I've ever seen. Every year they are so pretty. I called Lena and asked her if she minded if I brought Mia over to pose in front of them in her cheerleading uniform. She was more than happy to have us, and said, "You don't need to ask me....just come on over!" I know she is so proud of her flowers.

So I was able to get some really pretty pictures of my girl.

I've never had luck with mums. I've bought them, planted them, and killed them. Simple as that. Lena says, "Well, I'll just have to give you a lesson." If I can have mums as beautiful as these, I'll gladly take a lesson.

When we came back over to our house, Thomas was out shooting baskets. High school basketball practice starts Oct. 31, so he's been going to open gym during the week and practicing on the driveway, too.
