Answer to my prayers

I've been having BAD heel pain for months. Pain so bad that I have seriously considered going to see a podiatrist, until my friend Tina said she had her heels painfully injected with cortisone. The thought of needles going into my feet did not appeal to me in the least.

I had talked to several co-workers that had experienced the same issue, and they all had the same recommendation.....Dansko clogs.
~
I was skeptical. I mean, how can something that looks so uncomfortable actually help heel pain? My friend Anne said that one of the orthopedic docs told her that Dansko clogs are the ONLY shoes that healthcare workers should be wearing, and that they are endorsed by the American Academy of Podiatry as the best quality shoe for healthcare workers.

So Anne brings me a pair of her Dansko clogs on Sunday to try out, since we wear the same size shoe. I was completely amazed at the difference they made. Everyone tells me they work because the arch is so high and it makes you stand different, and hold your posture differently. Whatever the reason, they WORK and I am thrilled. I thought it would take a long time for me to notice a difference, but after wearing them for 12 hours yesterday, I came home with nearly pain free heels AND I didn't limp around last evening at home. When I got up this morning I didn't limp around in pain. They are AMAZING.

This is the pair I just purchased on-line for 50% off. They usually run from $115-155, and I got these for $65, with free shipping. I can't wait to get them. They weren't my first choice, but they were the ones I like best that were on the clearance sale. Frankly, I don't really care what they look like. I'm just relieved to be pain free. Finally.
