A busy week ahead..

This morning I was off to the Kia place to get my oil changed and then to the grocery store. Crazy how the older your kids get, the more they eat, and groceries don't seem to be lasting as long as they used to. I swear, I don't know where Thomas puts it all...growing boys will do that, I suppose. He can sit and eat an entire meal, then 30 minutes after he gets up from the table, he's putting a Hot Pocket in the oven, or scrounging around for something else.

Tomorrow and Wednesday promise to be busy days at the hospital. Babies, babies everywhere.

Thursday is my 3rd (and final) field trip to the state capitol with the 4th graders. I went with Sydney and Thomas when their 4th grade classes went, so I must continue the tradition and go with Miss Mia. We will not get to tour the govenor's mansion as we have before, as it is in the middle of renovation. But, after the capitol visit, we will go to the park for a picnic lunch. Keeping fingers crossed for good weather.

Friday will be a usual day, but I will be preparing for our weekend soccer tournament in Sedalia. We have decided to stay overnight on Saturday (after our games at 2 and 5 PM). Our first game on Sunday is at 8AM, so that makes for an awfully short night, and I think it will be nice to just stay in Sedalia. The hotel has an indoor pool, so the kids can enjoy that after the games and relax a bit. Last year we won 2nd place in our division in this tournament. Hopefully this year will be successful as well.

The only unfortunate thing about going to Sedalia this weekend for soccer is that we will have to miss the Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival. I suppose we could go early Saturday morning for a bit, but don't know if I want to fight the traffic, etc., for such a short day down there. Oh well, there is always next year.
