My first day back to work after being off for 2 weeks was absolutely crazy! We must have delivered a dozen babies....at least it seemed like that. My feet, who have enjoyed barefootedness (is that a word???...it is now...) and flip-flops for 2 weeks were SCREAMING by the end of the day, wondering what the heck was with these Nike shoes and where was all the open air freedom!?? Thanks to an amazing crew at work today...we all pulled together and had a successful day, despite all the craziness.

I certainly enjoyed my 2 weeks off. It was a very relaxing "vacation." I read a TON, enjoyed the quiet of the house while the kids were at school, did some scrapbooking, and the usual "around the house" stuff that keeps this place running.

One exciting note....Sydney applied and has received her acceptance letter from Mizzou!! It may not be where she decides to go, but she was thrilled. (As were her father and I.) Seems like I blinked and suddenly she's at this point in her life. Where did the time go?

She had her friend Haley over this evening to make a birthday cake for another friend. They also made a framed collage of pictures of their group of friends as their gift to her.

Sydney seems to be enjoying her job at Subway. She now has the hang of things and seems to enjoy the people she works with. Our store opened a week ago, and seems to be very busy every time I drive by there. I promised Syd I would stop in tomorrow while she was working so she could make me a sandwich.
