Home Improvements

I got two tickets to the Mizzou game last night for Thomas and a friend. Kick-off was at 6, so Mia and I dropped them off at about 5:30. I was reminded why I never go near campus when there is a football game.

We went to Golden Corral after that for dinner. Not my first choice, but it was what Miss Mia wanted. We got there just in time. Right after we sat down with our food, a busload of football players and cheerleaders from Scott County came in.

Our next stop was Lowes. Not Mia's favorite thing to do. She was getting tired of "going around in circles" and said she was "losing patience" with me. Ha! I wanted to get stuff to put shelves up in the pantry/laundry room.

Next we went to Shoe Carnival. I needed new tennis shoes. My heels have been bothering the heck out of me. I must have a spur or something. (Surgery in my future?) I found a pair of Nikes and bought heel inserts for them, so we'll see if there is any improvement in my pain.

We wanted to go to Barnes and Noble, too, but Thomas called me while we were at Shoe Carnival and said they were ready to be picked up. I knew it was too early for the game to be over, but he said, "It's 49-0 (MU) and Dillon doesn't have a jacket." I guess they were bored and cold. I was glad they wanted to leave early, though, as that helped miss some of the end of game traffic.

I've been wanting to put extra shelves up for storage of small kitchen appliances, etc., forever. I finally did. By moving a lot of these items to these shelves, I have more counter space and cabinet space. Three extra shelves on the pantry side leaves more room better organization of the food items. It feels good to have it all done and it looks so nice!
