with Thomas at the kitchen table while he's doing his Algebra. He doesn't think he needs algebra for anything because he's going to be a professional athlete and his stats are going to be too high to count anyway. Really? Ya think? What I really want to do is go to bed and read, but I need to stay here with him and cheer him on.
Mia is now officially a member of the 5th grade band. She got her flute today.....even played a couple of tunes for me when I got home from work. It's so darn cute. I don't know if she'll stick with it, but we'll see. We got 2 years of trumpet from Sydney, and she was really good at it, but chose not to continue. The band director practically begged her not to quit. I'm all for encouraging the fine arts in the kids, though.
All are well now at the Blanchard house. It took Mia a good 4 days to feel completely healthy again. I'm sure she had H1N1. So far Thomas and Sydney haven't gotten it, and I hope they don't. That is some wicked stuff.
This weekend is the Pumpkin Festival. I missed last year because I had to work. If the weather is nice, we will probably venture down there.
Anyone seen the new show "Flashforward?" It's my new favorite show. Comes on right before my other favorite show...."Grey's Anatomy" on Thursday nights. Check it out....it's awesome.
