Mom, Amy, Sydney, and I went to St. Louis Saturday morning following a breakfast at Panara. We arrived at the Galleria mall around noon and met up with Kathy, Elizabeth and Allie. We then proceed to take the mall by storm.
We had a delicious lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. They serve such big portions there, (as Sydney and I learned when we ate there a few weeks ago on the prom dress search in St. Louis), so we opted to split a salad and a burger...yummy, and just enough for both of us. Then we had our favorite...vanilla bean cheesecake for dessert.
Amy had us all in stitches. I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time...my sides hurt today. Always the entertainer, she was up to her usual antics. If she wasn't recreating the scene from "Elf" where Will Ferrell nearly does the splits in the escalator, she was applying lots of RED lipstick at Sephora and actually leaving the store that way. (Photo coming soon) Then there was "death by cheesecake" at the Cheesecake factory. (Photo to follow, as soon as I can get it from Kathy.) Sydney was present in the ladies room with Amy to hear her declare, "I am SUCH a FREAKING knock-out!" as she reapplied lip gloss after lunch.
Kathy, Elizabeth, and Allie left, but we continued on with shopping. Mom and I took a sit-down break while Amy and Syd tried on EVERY pair of sunglasses at one of the kiosks. I think they were trying on for about an hour, but both came back with 2 pair each. (2 for $20!!) Mom and I enjoyed chatting with each other, and even got to see some guy get taken out in hand-cuffs. Shoplifting??
Sydney declared as we were leaving to go to World Market and Trader Joe's that she "could go for another 5 hours!" I suppose I was that way when I was 17, but NOT anymore. We picked up a few things at Trader Joe's and then headed home. The trip home was filled with laughter as well. Lots of reminiscing about stupid stuff we did as kids and funny things that had happened. Somehow we started coming up with 70's and 80's sitcom trivia questions to fire back and forth at each other. It made the drive home go by so fast. Good times!!
We are already talking about taking another girls shopping trip. All-in-all it was a fantastic day! I love you guys!!
