If nothing else, at least I'm resourceful....

I came up with a brilliant way to fix my broken tree. Off to the hardware store I went this morning, purchasing a large dishpan and some Quik-crete. I brought it home, mixed it up (man that stuff is hard to mix) and currently the base of the tree is setting up in concrete on the kitchen counter. Sydney can't believe I'm doing it that way, but heck....why not? It's cheaper than buying a new tree. Right now the tree is in pieces, strewn about the living room, which is about to drive this girl crazy....I can't stand clutter.

That's better than what we did... a couple of years ago, when my tree broke. Bud and I weren't married yet... but he was staying at my house more than his own. He tied the tree to my wall. He hammered a few nails into the wall and tied the tree to the nails. I bought a new base, after Christmas that year. It never worked all that well... then I finally convinced him, two years ago, to let me buy a new pre-lit tree. I LOVE it.
