If I'd known you were coming, I'd have baked a cake.....

Mia baked her first cake....all by herself...on Friday! The only thing I did for her was hold the mixing bowl so she could get the batter out into the cake pan. Perhaps we might have a new cook in the house? Wouldn't that be great? I must say, things taste so much better when someone else makes it. She cut and served all of us that evening. Sydney even said, "This cake is perfect" which resulted in a HUGE smile on Mia's face.

This weekend Thomas plays in the Show-Me Games...soccer, of course. The forecast promises HEAT. We will be armed with lots of water, iced down rags, etc. Two years ago, the temperatures were 100+. Hopefully we'll get a break by the weekend. Last year they won gold in their division. We'll see what happens.
