I took my Inpatient Obstetrics Certification exam yesterday morning. There were 13 of us that took the exam, some of us OB nurses, and some nurses that work in the Intensive Care Nursery took their exam. Boone paid for it. $250.00. If we fail the exam, we have to pay it back.

I sent a text message to one of my co-workers who took it and asked, "What did you think?" Her response...."I think I need to come up with $250 and FAST." I asked her if she thought we should have a bake sale to raise money for the pay-back.

All kidding aside, I really have no idea how well (or NOT well) I did on it. I don't feel particularly bad about it, nor do I feel really confident. Our manager, Sherri, has told us in previous weeks that NO ONE comes out of there feeling like they passed it. I guess that makes me feel better?

Time will tell. They say there is a 5-6 week turn around time for results, but some gals from work who took it a few months ago said they got their results in 3 weeks.

I'm just glad it's over and don't have it hanging over my head anymore. Now all I have to do is wait!
