We stopped in Jackson, MS, the first night. We decided not to drive the entire trip in one day like we did last summer. That was miserable.
The kids found the pool and we all went down to relax.
Thomas and Dayton played football at the pool.
CANNONBALL!!!!
Amy thought she was done in the pool. Dayton thought she needed to go back in.
He "helped" her with that.
More football.
We arrived in Destin late in the afternoon on Saturday. This is a few from our front porch.
A view from the porch to the left. The pool was just a hop, skip and jump from our condo.
Heading to the pool.
This is "our" pool. It was 3000 square feet. After swimming in it for a week, our own pool at home is going to seem so small...like swimming in a dog's water dish.
Thomas chillin' out.
The girls enjoy supper out on the patio.
Sydney, Thomas and Dayton getting ready to eat.
Beach beauties.
Waiting for our table at Pompano Joe's, which was conveniently right across the street from our condo.
Waiting. Look how tan I am. NOT.
Thomas and Syd at Pompano Joe's.
Thomas wanted to try crab legs for the first time. I had my fingers crossed that he would like them, since they aren't cheap. He loved them.
Amy, of course, put on a "puppet show" with the crab legs.
He even shared some with Sydney.
The water was so pretty.
Mia and Mary were practically joined at the hip all week.
Aunt Amy and Thomas.
Having fun Mia?
One of the highlights of the trip was the jet ski rental. Dayton and Sydney rode first. Big Dayton took Thomas out after that.
Mary and the tube.
Lounging in the surf while Dayton and Thomas were out on the jet ski.
Thomas and Dayton.
Dayton and Mary.
We made taco salads one night.
Mary being silly.
We tried to talk Amy into doing braids on the beach for money. I bet she could have made a lot. Her braids are awesome!
More beach time. It was HOT and humid every day. We got rain just one evening. Thank goodness we had the gulf and the pool.
Amy and Sydney rolled themselves in the sand, "like donuts rolled in sugar."
"Sand stands."
This is "Grover Dome." Dayton purchased it several months ago at Dick's Sporting Goods for $38. It has mesh sides, so the breeze could get through. It can accomodate 4 people. The beach chairs/umbrella set-ups on the right rent for somewhere between 150 to 200 bucks for the week, and only accomodate 2. Yay us!

You got some AWESOME photos!!! Your family is adorable. I want to crash your vacation next year, okay... just me... my husband... our four small twerps... it will be a blast! Seriously, your kids are adorable, and your sister is crazy fun! How the hell old is she, anyway? How the hell can she still do a damn handstand? That makes me mad... but good for her. It looks like you had a perfect vacation!
