It's been a long time coming, but I finally got so sick of my vinyl kitchen floor, that I bit the bullet and went to Lowes and ordered ceramic tile. Last Friday I started the looooong process of taking up the vinyl. The above photo was the beginning of the process on Friday night.
This was Saturday afternoon. Mia was a GREAT help to me, and scraped a TON, even saying, at one point, "I love doing this."
This is Sunday afternoon, Mia working at it some more.
This is what it looked like Sunday evening. I worked a little bit more on it Tuesday and Wednesday after work and then did a lot more on Thursday when I was off. I just have a little bit left to do where the refrigerator is, and then pull out the stove and do that, then my part is DONE. The tile installer came Thursday afternoon and did official measurements and we have a date for May 11th and 12th for installation. We have to put up with looking at a concrete kitchen floor for a week and a half.

I have to say, I'm VERY excited. It has been a lot of hard work and elbow grease, but I know the end result will be beautiful!

I need a Mia. Seriously. She's just the BEST kid!! She's so positive about everything. I LOVE that. I bet that was a big job, but like you said, the tile will be gorgeous. I can't wait to see it!!!
