Saturday Mia and I attended "Crop for Cobble," a fundraiser for Delmar Cobble State School. My friend Jen's daughter attends the school, which is for special needs children. Jen had asked me months ago to help her with the fundraiser, and I was happy to. I don't feel like I did much though...Jen was the mastermind behind the whole thing. All I did was pick up gift cards and food coupons from a few businesses that had made donations. We had 46 people sign up for the day of scrap booking, and Jen even had to turn people away, as there just wasn't enough room.
Several people had donated items for a silent auction as well. I donated a family photo shoot. We also had an "old fashioned" auction of some other items....2 $50 Target gift cards, a Riversong Spa gift certificate, and some gift cards from local restaurants. The area businesses were very generous in their donations.
Jen (in red) is probably telling me not to take her picture in this one.
