Girls Day

Friday was busy, busy, busy. I hit the ground running at about 8:00 and it was go go go all day. Started off by dropping Sydney off at work at 10, then to the mall, etc., to FINALLY finish Christmas shopping. Met up with some Boone girls at Cracker Barrel for lunch at 12:30. One of our former co-workers, Nikki, was in town visiting. It was a nice lunch and good conversation.
After that I went to Walmart to get stocking stuffers. I think stocking stuffers are harder to buy than actual presents. I never know what to get. I'm taking suggestions for next year.
I headed over to Palen Music to return Mia's rental flute after that. Turns out, Anne's daughter played the flute and she had hers up in the top of her closet, gathering dust. So we returned the rental and are borrowing Lexi's flute and saving the $31/month rental fee. Yay me!
I was to be at (I thought) Christian Chapel at 4:00 to scope out the place for the wedding I shot today. They were having rehearsal there. When I got there at a little before 4:00, I didn't see anyone I knew, and asked the few people that were in the church if they were with the Miller wedding. They looked at me like I had 2 heads and said, "There's not a wedding here this weekend." What? Then one guy says, "Maybe it's Christian Fellowship?" So I got on my cell and called the groom, and sure enough, I was at the wrong church. I got directions from him on how to get to Christian FELLOWSHIP, and off I went. Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I am TERRIBLE with directions, so of course, I got lost. I stopped and asked a couple of people where it was and they were able to help me. Perhaps a GPS for Christmas?
After the rehearsal, I came back to Ashland and picked Thomas up from basketball practice at 6:30. He was one tired boy, after having been up late the night before doing homework. He was asleep in the recliner by 7:30. I woke him up and put him to bed at 9:30.
I went in to wake him up for his game this morning at 7:30 and asked, "Is 12 hours of sleep enough, or do you need a little more?" To which he replied, "No, I think I'm good."
We took down some T-Birds this morning at North Callaway. Close game....exciting. Quite emotionally charged. (I swear some of the fans (parents) probably needed extra blood pressure medicine after that game.) A nice win though, for the end of 8th grade basketball season.
