A Good Cry

So all three kids had left me today. Sydney went to the mall. Thomas and Mia got invited to the pool by my sister. There I sat, looking at the clean laundry that needed to be folded, the straightening that needed to be done throughout the house, and decided to sneak off for a movie.
Today was the opening day of "My Sister's Keeper." I've been looking forward to this movie since I saw the trailers months ago. My BFF Anne called me right as I was getting ready to hop in the shower and get ready to go. I invited her along, and she agreed.

Now, I've read the book. Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. It is the ONLY book that I've ever cried while reading. It was absolutely a TRUE tear-jerker. The movie is no different. There we sat, Anne and I and three other girls from Boone, each wondering why in the hell we even bothered to put on eye make-up....it was all cried off by the end of the movie. And it wasn't just a couple of scenes in the movie....it was several. I cried so much it gave me a headache. It is definitely a movie that makes you want to hug your children.

Thanks for the movie review. I loved that book, too... I don't want to watch the movie with Bud, now. He teases me when I cry at movies. Sounds like you had another fun girls day!
