Sydney and I went to Macy's today in search of a dress to wear to graduation. I must say, the search for this dress was much easier than the prom dress search. She picked out two summer dresses, tried them both on, and picked one. I wish shopping with her was always that easy. She picked out a really cute strapless green and white striped sundress....very flattering on her. The other one she picked out was so cute, but, as she said, it made her look bottom heavy, and "like I'm trying to hide a pregnancy." I don't know if Sydney could look bottom heavy if she tried, but I agreed that the first dress was the cutest.
Before we went to Macy's, we stopped at Maplewood Barn/Nifong Park to get some more senior photos. I mailed out announcements today. I know, I know, graduation is a week and a half away, so I kind of procrastinated that, didn't I? I decided that we would send photos in thank you notes instead. Hopefully Emily Post isn't rolling over in her grave.
We went to the mall after that to look for shoes. She found some at Target, but once she got them home, she doesn't like the way they look with the dress. I guess she'll have to take them back and keep looking.
Where are the storms we were supposed to get this afternoon? I'm kind of glad it's holding off... Mia has her last soccer game tonight.
