Saturday was Mia's birthday party/sleepover. Six little girls arrived at 4PM, with sleeping bags and pillows in hand and gifts for the birthday girl.

Luckily, Saturday evening was our annual PTA carnival, so we went to that. The girls had a great time, I think. There were lots of games to play, as well as a bounce house and giant blow-up dragon that they could crawl through.
After the carnival, we came home and ordered pizza from Pizza Hut. I've never seen little girls devour pizza like that! We then grabbed blankets and went up to the city park, where there was an outdoor showing of "Kung Fu Panda." The Park Board did a GREAT job and there were tons of people there, camped out on blankets, and in lawn chairs. The weather was perfect. They had a huge "blow-up" screen that reminded me of a bounce house. Stereo sound...the works. It was so neat!
We came home after the movie and played some games and did a craft project. I tried to get the girls settled down around 12:30. I was ready for bed and Sydney was already trying to sleep. I turned the fan on in my room to drown out the sound, but had to get up at 4:00 and tell them to be quiet and go to sleep. Sydney was standing there already, telling them herself. Mia informs me that they continued talking and she's not sure what time they went to sleep. When I got up this morning at 9:30, all but 2 were still sleeping. I hated to wake them up, but they needed to get stuff packed up.
Needless to say, Mia took a good nap today. So did her mom.
