The weekend started with a "Girl's Night" for Sydney and I....her idea. She wanted dinner at Friday's and then wanted to see Friday the 13th. We had a lovely dinner and then went over to the 7:00 show. Typical, predictable horror film, but entertaining just the same. I'm taking advantage of all the "girl time" with her that I can, since before I know it, she'll be off to MSU in Springfield in the fall.

Thomas being silly. He and Mia were wrestling on the couch and both had the giggles.

I dumped a HUGE pile of laundry on the living room floor and asked Thomas and Mia to fold it and put it away. Thomas was able to bargain with Mia, and for this foam finger and some candy hearts, she did most of it. I wonder how much longer it'll be before she becomes more expensive. I must say, she is quite the little laundry girl.

Then it was off to Wardsville to have our butts handed to us on the basketball court by Hallsville.

I had placed a ham in one crock pot and green beans in another this morning. I had also made a big container of potato salad this morning, so when we got home at 6, supper was ready. It was so nice not to have to do it all when we got home. Sydney was curled up in my bed watching TV when we got home, tired from her day at Subway.
Now the dishes are done, the kitchen is clean, and we are going to settle down to watch the NBA All-Star game!
