Weekend in Sedalia

We are wiped out after the soccer tournament in Sedalia this weekend. The kids and I stayed at the Best Western so we wouldn't have to get up and be on the road at 6 for our 8:00 game. We played last night at 7:00 and that game finished at about 8:20. We were 0-4, 4-0 and 0-6 for our games, so we didn't get a medal game. We are playing in a U14 division, which means many of the boys we are playing are 14 and under. We have only 11 and 12 year olds. Our coach is "playing us up" for the competition, as we seemed to be doing too well in our age group. Needless to say, there are both size and experience differences. I think it is good for our boys, though.

The kids got go enjoy the swimming pool...but the boys seemed to prefer the pool table. We all got dinner for our own families last night and brought it to the common area in the hotel. We closed that down at 10:00 and then went to our rooms. My kids quickly fell asleep after a shower. I had so much trouble sleeping and plan a nap later this afternoon. I'm slowly getting the car unloaded and will take it to the car wash later to wash and vacuum.

All in all it was a fun weekend. The boys enjoyed each other's company off the soccer field.
