A busy Saturday.

We started out with a trip to The Dance Closet to buy tap shoes and ballet slippers. Of course, who could resist getting a new black leotard, pink tights, and a skirt? Mia is so glad to be dancing this year. She didn't dance last year, because the class she would have been in conflicted with religion class on Wednesday evening. She was pleased to find that she remembered a lot from her first year of dance and had a smile on her face the whole time. Mia in her new dancewear just before class started.
Miss Jeanne guiding the girls to their places.

Such a graceful girl.
The girls got to tap to Hannah Montana and that was a HUGE hit.
After dance we went to the Ashland Fall Festival. The weather was perfect and there was a nice turnout.
Thomas hanging out with some friends.
They even had jousting, which was interesting to watch Thomas watching the jousting.
Smokin' Chicks had a stand and we ate BBQ ribs. YUM.
Don't know what Thomas' problem is in this picture. Looks
like he's in pain?
MMmmmmm goooooooooood.
And Mia got her face painted.
I don't have a picture for this, but Amy won first place and $50 in the pie baking contest!!! She made her famous Caramel Apple pie. Congratulations Amy!!!

okay... I think I'd pay $50 for that caramel apple pie... or maybe for the recipe (not for me, for "Nana")... Mia looks BEAUTIFUL in her dancewear, just like her big sister... and the rose picture and story... oh my gosh! I don't know if it's my hormones or what, but I'm teary-eyed. I'm not a real "softy"... but I've got to tell you, I cried over the card you sent. I'm totally blaming hormones... and your sweetness. You are the best!!! We have been so lucky to have you there for all 3 of them... and we can't have another, unless we know you'll be a part of it!!! You're the best!
