What was I thinking? Saying it was okay for Mia to invite 6 friends over for a birthday sleepover?!?!?! I must have temporarily lost my mind. But, the important thing is, we all survived it, and they had a blast!! Sydney and I picked them up from school on Friday, and it was giggles and squeals from the time they got here til the time they left this morning. I took them out to CiCi's for pizza last night. We then came home for presents and Dairy Queen ice cream cake. There was nail painting, Pictionary, and movies. I settled them down (I thought) for a movie...Alvin and the Chipmunks at about 11PM and headed to bed myself. At 1:15, I awoke to squeals and giggles and had to tell them to keep it down. Mia told me this morning all but 1 of them was still awake at 4 this morning. Needless to say, Miss Mia faded quickly after the last one left and needed a nap. Thomas had managed to spend the night with Nate, so he didn't have to be here with all those girls in the house. His only request? "Don't let them go in my room!"
After the nap, we headed to the mall to pick out prom shoes and accessories for Sydney. Prom is next weekend. I can't wait to see all the kids dressed up in their formal-wear. Stay tuned for pics.
The rain has kept Mia's team from playing their first two games. I'll be so glad when it is dry enough to start playing! Thomas' team has played a few of theirs, and won each one.
I need to be better about posting.
