Our very first blog entry!

This is our very first entry into Blanchard Business. I got this idea from a former patient, who is keeping me posted on happenings in her busy life with two children through her family blog. It's so fun to watch her kids grow through the pictures that she posts. I thought this was a neat way for everyone to keep up with each other. Everybody else in the family...Adam, Kathy, Amy, Dayton, Mom, Dad, Mike, Angie, Elizabeth, Adam, Jake....all you guys!! And, of course, all my Boone buddies.

We are busy this week getting ready for Friday night's Homecoming game, then the dance Saturday night. This week is busy with homecoming activities. Sydney will play powder-puff football Thursday night, followed by the bonfire. The high school is having a talent show tomorrow night, and Sydney and her friend, Andi, are performing a lyrical dance that they choreographed themselves.

Sydney has returned to dance at Columbia Dance Academy after taking last year off to do cheerleading. She's just doing football cheerleading this year, so she's taking a Tuesday night ballet/pointe class. Tuesdays are terribly busy for her. She goes to school, then has cheerleading practice for 2 hours after school, then drives to Columbia for 2 hours of dance. So basically, she leaves at 7:30 in the morning and gets home at 8:30 at night. Needless to say, she is TIRED when she gets home. Soon enough, though, cheerleading practice will stop and she'll have a break between things.

Thomas is busy with soccer. We have a double header this weekend at Cosmo. He enjoys soccer so much. Aunt Amy often comments that he ALWAYS has a ball of some sort... he's either kicking a soccer ball or dribbling a basketball. His soccer team is currently undefeated. We will travel to Sedalia the first w/e in Oct. for a tournament.

Miss Mia is busy with 3rd grade. She recently got a new haircut and loves it. I was worried she wouldn't like it after she agreed to go short. It's so much easier. Sydney also got her hair cut...about 8 inches off! It looks great, layered really pretty. She couldn't believe how different her head feels with all that hair off.

Me, I'm just enjoying being a mom, cook, maid, driver, referee, etc. I'm getting some extra time in at my "other job" and have gotten some extra shifts at Callaway hospital in the OB dept.
