Semi-finals vs. Bishop LeBlond

Wow, we're really here!  The state semi-final match!  We got there early to get a good seat.
The bleachers were quickly filling up with the home-town crowd.

 How cool is this!?
Not sure what these girls were laughing about.
 Warm-ups.  Thomas practicing corner kicks.

I'm not sure who is left in Ashland, because I think the entire town was in Blue Springs!
That's my boy!  It suddenly hit me, as we were sitting watching them warm up, that, "My kid is playing in a state championship."

 Ready to go!
Kicking myself for cutting off his hand and part of his head in this great shot.
This one was totally by accident, too, but a cool shot nonetheless.
 Thomas and Jake.

 Get off me!!
 Celebrating our first goal.

Celebrating Nate making a penalty kick!

 Yyyyyesssss!
 Karen, a fellow soccer mom.
 And Shelly.
 We're almost there!
 Wooooo hooooo!

Semi-final winners running to greet their student crowd
who were lined up behind the fence.

Look at ol' #7....looks like he's letting it all soak in.

Coach Miller just out of  the locker room following the game.
Girlfriend gets the first victory hug.
 Then one for Mom.

A hug from Coach Tom Oleski, who coached Thomas and several of the other team members when they were younger.  He was their coach when they won a gold medal in the Show Me State Games.

Thomas is quite a bit taller than he was when Coach Tom coached him.  :)
